The Job of the Ergonomist
- Communicate
- Share ideas with everyone involved (Managers, Employee, Ergonomist, etc)
- Recognize Potential Risks
- Identify possible risks such as awkward postures, mechanical stress, forces, & repetition
- Assess the Job
- Both quantitatively & qualitatively
- Recommend & Justify Changes
- Properly suggest any necessary recommendations
- Administrative - posters, employee training, etc.
- Behavioural - ensure employee is performing job properly
- Engineering - physical changes to the workplace

Ergonomic Services We Offer
- Ergonomic Risk Assessments:
- Analyze the individual(s) risks involved with performing the job
- Make recommendations on site & in a professionally organized report
- Physical Demands Analysis (PDA):
- Analyze the manual & physical labour required to perform the job
- A professional report is given outlining the essential & non-essential duties, along with a break down of the job's demands.
- Job Site Assessments (JSA):
- Similar to a PDA, except it is typically done for an insurance company
- Ergonomic Presentations:
- A presentation can be given, targeting your specific ergonomic needs; length of presentation depends on your needs.
